This is something I've wanted to do for a while. Let's watch and talk about a bunch of movies about time loops that AREN'T Groundhog Day!
A Tom Cruise action film that's probably my favorite time loop movie outside of the OG. Humanity's at war with an invading alien force, and Cruise is sent to the front lines. Too bad he's just a cowardly PR officer with no combat skills. But he's stuck in a time loop, so getting killed is just a temporary setback while he learns to be a badass from
A mean girl on a college campus finds herself stalked by a slasher villain in a mask. But then it turns out she's not just in a slasher movie...she's in a time loop constantly being killed until she learns who's under the mask. Unique in that her frequent deaths aren't without consequence: each reset takes a small amount of her physical/mental health with it, so she's on a time limit despite the loop.
The sequel involves another student getting caught in a loop, then getting the girl from the first movie in the loop AGAIN while they try investigating a physics research lap responsible for the time loops in the first place.
(Haven't seen these in a while so it'll be an interesting rewatch)
A Marlon Waynes comedy about a guy who wakes up naked in an elevator on his wedding day with no memory of how he got there, and with only one hour to get to the ceremony. Probably the most frantic entry on the list-he's trapped in a time loop consisting of just an hour, not a whole day. Also the most optimistic and cheerful. There's little in the way of dark comedy, such as the protag killing himself to stress-test the loop.

Anyway, what other time loop films do you guys like? You watching any tomorrow?
