Just announced today. Sonic and co. are back for another kart-style (ugh) racing game. Looks like it plays more like Mario Kart this time around. Team mechanics are gone, and we've got some deep cut references. Personally I'm hyped for Metal Harbor being a track.

New gameplay video:

I'm gonna need to replay All Stars and Team Racing, cause I don't remember them looking so much like a Mario Kart clone. :P The portals to other worlds and skatepark-looking tricks are enticing, though.

I didn't have the opportunity to take part in the recent beta test, but I did watch Somecallmejohnny stream it, and the game looks to be shaping up to be pretty damn fun! The $70 price tag is a tough pill to swallow for a game like this, though. I'll probably wait for a price drop, because Sega's generally pretty good about those.

Picked this up in the big Sonic anniversary Steam sale recently and I'm enjoying it a lot, but I haven't gone online yet cuz I hate playing games with strangers. Of course I installed some mods, like one that gives voices to the DLC characters--plus, since the "AI costumes" are lame as shit, you basically get tons of free slots to put mod characters in. :P
I have one that puts Sticks the Badger over "AI Zazz". The animation replacements are broken but that's okay because if anyone is going to drive a car while doing an impression of a praying mantis it's Sticks the Badger.
