Shadow Generations is so freakin' good that I think it's better than Shadow the Hedgehog (2005). Yeah, it's THAT GOOD.
You play as the eponymous Ultimate Life Form during the events of Sonic Generations. While Sonic is off having a fun trip down memory lane with his past self, Shadow's forced to deal with ghosts of his past, the return of Black Doom, and even a chance to meet his long-lost friend Maria.
There's no use of the word "damn", nor can you use guns. I don't mind, I realize not everyone can handle unfiltered Shadow fanboyism. But you get badass new powers unleashed by Shadow's dormant Black Doom DNA.
One of the things that's got everyone (rightfully) upset with this game is Rouge the Bat's redesign, which now shows off less raw boobage:
Fortunately this lack of fanservice is made up for with a completely unironic Shadow with fucking Venom demon wings!!!
...which, for me at least, is enough sex appeal to get me through the game.
Shadow Generations is an excellent add-on to the remaster of Sonic Generations. Shadow fans will find enough content in this mini-campaign alone to justify the perchance. Do recommend.
