Just announced today. Sonic and co. are back for another kart-style (ugh) racing game. Looks like it plays more like Mario Kart this time around. Team mechanics are gone, and we've got some deep cut references. Personally I'm hyped for Metal Harbor being a track.

I really loved All-Stars Racing Transformed, and this looks like it's taking more cues from that than Team Sonic Racing, so I'm hyped.

I'm gonna need to replay All Stars and Team Racing, cause I don't remember them looking so much like a Mario Kart clone. The portals to other worlds and skatepark-looking tricks are enticing, though.

I didn't have the opportunity to take part in the recent beta test, but I did watch Somecallmejohnny stream it, and the game looks to be shaping up to be pretty damn fun! The $70 price tag is a tough pill to swallow for a game like this, though. I'll probably wait for a price drop, because Sega's generally pretty good about those.
